EAT THIS CHUM!
News:
| Quote: | BORMIO, Italy -- Didier Cuche clinched his second straight World Cup downhill title Tuesday, beating out Bode Miller by five points when the final race of the season was cancelled.
The final men's downhill was scheduled for Wednesday, but was cancelled after organizers could not get training off on Tuesday following overnight snow and foggy conditions on the Stelvio course.
....
With Miller expected to do well in the downhill, it was tough to judge what affect the cancellation had on the overall race, where Miller holds a 169-point margin ahead of Cuche, with Benjamin Raich of Austria 264 points behind.
Now only three races remain -- a super-G Thursday, giant slalom Friday and a slalom Saturday. |

VICTORYYYYYYYYYBODE get's 'er done
| Quote: | Bode Miller clinched his second overall World Cup title, then promptly retreated behind the tinted windows of his personal bus.
....
For Miller, who split from the U.S. team this season to train on his own, there were no smiles, no champagne, and few words -- until he showed up later at an appearance for one of his sponsors.
....
Miller decided to go solo after clashing with the U.S. squad over team rules.
He hired McBride away from the U.S. team to be his head coach and brought in former U.S. coaches Forest Carey and Mike Kenney. Miller labeled his breakaway squad "Team America." |

USA! USA!Clean sweep for U.S. America!
| Quote: | Bode Miller and Lindsey Vonn received their large crystal globes Sunday to mark the first American sweep of overall World Cup skiing titles since Phil Mahre and Tamara McKinney accomplished the feat 25 years ago.
Miller broke away from the U.S. team to race and train on his own this season. He didn't drink all season, then let loose at what was advertised around town as "the Bode Miller party" Saturday night.
"Bode didn't look so well this morning," Vonn said. "But he's a really, really awesome athlete and I'm really proud of him and happy for Americans." |
